Office on Violence Against Women (Department of Justice) Website

Redesign and remediation of component website for U.S. Department of Justice: Office on Violence Against Women, improving design and usability as they migrated from Drupal 7 to 9.
About the Project
The U.S. Department of Justice moved from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9, which provided the opportunity for a significant redesign and remediation of the Office on Violence Against Women component website.
For this project, I was part of a two-person web team that worked on restructuring the website to improve user experience and better highlight the office's grant programs.
As part of the process, I created screen mockups that demonstrated the new site navigation as well as individual pages.
Additionally, for this project I created web graphics including the homepage sliders, helped maintain and edit the site, and made page design updates as needed.
Website Maintenance and Migration
I also assisted in the website redesign and migration to Drupal 9, focusing on content graphics, materials, and improving the user experience.
To the left are some examples of the website banners I created for the website. I worked closely with the development team to ensure visual elements aligned with the updated content strategy, as well as an improved user experience.
Special attention was paid to developing content for the specific user groups of this website, as we determined them to be two main audiences — one being domestic violence survivors looking for assistance and the other being mutual aid organizations looking for information about grants. Thus, the structure and information of the website was carefully constructed with these audiences in mind.
Web Pages
Aside from the web banner design above, below are some samples of web pages that incorporate the PowerPoint template branding I created.
