About the Project

At Amazon Conservation, I was responsible for a wide range of email marketing and content creation efforts designed to inform, engage, and mobilize supporters, donors, and conservation partners. My role combined writing, design, segmentation strategy, and visual editing to deliver effective communications that supported fundraising, education, and outreach goals.

Donor Campaign Emails

I wrote and designed targeted fundraising emails for major campaigns including Earth Day, Giving Tuesday, and year-end giving. Each message was tailored to segmented audiences based on donor type and giving history, allowing for more personalized outreach. I was responsible for designing layouts, selecting and cropping imagery, and ensuring all visual and written elements aligned with the organization’s brand identity.

Satellite Monitoring Updates

In addition to campaign emails, I created and distributed deforestation alert updates using satellite monitoring data, aimed at audiences such as researchers, donors, and regional partners. These emails were sent in both English and Spanish, and audiences were segmented by language and interest to ensure relevant messaging.

Monthly Newsletter

Each month, I produced a newsletter featuring four to five blog articles on conservation stories and successes. I wrote and edited all content, selected impactful imagery, created engaging story previews, and edited photographic headlines to enhance clarity and tone. The newsletter served as a consistent and visually engaging update for our international community.

Event Invitations

I also wrote and designed email invitations for both virtual and in-person events, segmenting lists based on audience type, such as donors, institutional partners, or regional stakeholders. Every element of the emails, from imagery to copy to call-to-action design, was designed to reflect Amazon Conservation’s mission and brand voice.

Throughout these projects, I integrated thoughtful content creation with data-informed audience segmentation and strong visual design to build relationships and amplify the organization’s conservation impact.
